How to face denial?

Let us aceept the fact that the most difficult thing is to accept denial.Refusal of the fullfillment of whims is the ultimate jolt for anyone.I am itching to share one of my experiences pertaining to denial.And the irony of the situation is that I am at the other side of the table while sharing this whole episode.I was the one who subjected the ghost- DENIAL to one of my acquaintances.

In this everdynamic era of technology the advent of social sites is changing the milieu of society.The most talked amomg those are facebook and orkut.My experience is centred at orkut.
One of the women in our vicinity sent me a friend request on orkut which i put down unabashedly.What should have been the ideal course of action for this female?
I personally feel she should have accepted the denial gracefully instead of making a ruckus of the whole issue.

I fail to understand the concept of dignity and self-respect in this ever evolving modern society.
